#Why CBSE divided math into Standard Math and Basic Math for class 10 ??
the reason to divide Class 10 math into standard and basic is for helping the students who are not too good in math and don't want to continue mathematics in their future. All such students who have decided to choose commerce subject in class 11th without math or the students who want to go for Humanities or Biology in class 11 can get the benifit of this scheme.

The basic difference between Standard mathematics and Basic mathematics is the difficulty level of paper. the syllabus for both standard and basic math is going to be same but the question paper of standard math will have more logical or comparatively little bit tougher than basic math. but believe me Standard math paper is not going to be too tough as well as Basic math paper will also not going to be too easy. the difference between difficulty level of both the paper is not too much.
you can get very good marks in standard math also if you will do Smart work along with hard work . Let me tell you I had opted Standard mathematics in my class 10th (last year) and also got a very good marks (93/100) in standard math. So if i can do you also can achieve it .So work hard for standard mathematics.
here are some tips which you can follow to prepare for standards mathematics !!
so, tips for standard mathematics are as follows -
1. Solve NCERT - I will recommend you all to solve full NCERT thoroughly before going to any other reference book. I can guarantee full standard mathematics paper will be going to come from NCERT but the question will be logical.
2. Short view of NCERT exampler - After solving NCERT if you want to prepare from any other book you can go for NCERT exampler. this book generally have more logical question than NCERT and can definitely help you for class 10th Boards.
3.Previous year papers - The best way to know your actual preperation is to solve previous Year Exam papers . you can also go for Oswall Sample papers because the questions in it are of good level.
